What are Dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are soft tissue injectable medical grade materials that are injected into the skin at different depths to create a smoother and/or fuller appearance in the face, including nasolabial folds, cheeks and lips and for increasing the volume of the back of the hand. These substances are used in soft tissue augmentation to enhance or replace volume that is lost in any part of the skin or subcutaneous fat.

Why are dermal fillers done?

As a person ages, the body stops producing collagen and elastin that causes the skin to become lax, appears wrinkled, and sags.
